# Free or paid systems

## Free or Paid systems <a href="#free-or-paid-systems" id="free-or-paid-systems"></a>

If you’d like to setup your system as free amenity for approved users, you’ll be setting up a Free system. A free system may be a corporate campus bike share or tenant amenity where users are approved in advance to gain access.

If you’d like to charge for rentals, you’ll be setting up a Paid system. Paid systems are a Premium feature. For Paid systems, users will be required to add a credit and choose a billing plan before starting a rental. A Paid system may be a rental business, hotel amenity or other public program.

### Custom billing plans <a href="#custom-billing-plans" id="custom-billing-plans"></a>

For Paid systems, you are given wide controls on how to charge for rentals by setting up custom billing Plans. The Plans option will be accessible only if you change your system to a Paid system.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.bloomsharing.com/doc/getting-started-with-bloom/free-or-paid-systems.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
